Terms of Service - ScanSheet

01Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ScanSheet ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

02Description of Service

ScanSheet is a browser-based barcode scanning tool that allows users to pair a phone with a desktop browser to scan barcodes into a local spreadsheet. The Service includes both free and paid subscription tiers.

03User Accounts

To access certain features (including phone pairing sessions), you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

04Free and Pro Plans

The Free plan includes up to 1,000 unique barcode rows per sheet and phone pairing. The Pro plan includes up to 10,000 rows and unlimited pairing sessions. See our pricing page for current rates. Plan features and limits may change with notice.

05Payments and Billing

Pro subscriptions are billed via Creem, our payment processor. You may cancel at any time through the Creem Customer Portal, accessible from your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will retain Pro features until that date. Refund requests are subject to our Refund Policy. Creem may also process refunds at their discretion under their own buyer protection terms.

06Data and Privacy

Barcode records are stored locally in your browser. The server relays scan messages between paired devices but does not store barcode data. Account information (email, subscription status) is stored on the server. See our Privacy Policy for details.

07Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations;
Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information during account registration or checkout;
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, its servers, or related systems;
Interfere with or disrupt the Service's operation, including through denial-of-service attacks or excessive automated requests;
Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the Service;
Use the Service to distribute malware, spam, phishing content, or other harmful material;
Use the Service to scan, store, or process any illegal, infringing, or prohibited content;
Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or Pro features to third parties without authorization;
Exceed the usage limits associated with your plan tier;
Violate the intellectual property rights of others through your use of the Service.

Violation of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.

08Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time.

09Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

10Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScanSheet shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

11Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
