Install ScanSheet as a PWA and use it offline
ScanSheet is a Progressive Web App. You can install it on your phone or laptop home screen, launch it full-screen like a native app, and use the manual entry path even when offline. The phone-camera scanner needs a connection, but the rest of the app keeps working.

Install on iPhone or iPad
- Open scan.skycang.com in Safari.
- Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up).
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Edit the name if you like, then tap Add.
- ScanSheet appears on your home screen with the ScanSheet icon. Tap it to launch in full-screen mode.
Install on Android
- Open scan.skycang.com in Chrome.
- Tap the three-dot menu in the top right.
- Tap Install app or Add to Home Screen.
- Confirm the install. ScanSheet appears in your app drawer and on the home screen.
Install on a laptop or desktop
- Open scan.skycang.com in Chrome, Edge, or another Chromium-based browser.
- Look for the small install icon in the address bar (a monitor with a down arrow).
- Click Install. ScanSheet opens in its own window without browser tabs or address bar.
What works offline
- Manual barcode entry: type a barcode and add a row, no network needed
- Edit existing rows: change quantity, edit notes, delete rows
- Export CSV: download the current data, no network needed
- Search, sort, and filter: all client-side, fully offline
Why install instead of bookmarking
A PWA install gives you a real app icon, full-screen mode, and a dedicated window. The Service Worker also pre-caches the app shell so the page loads instantly even on a slow network. Bookmarks just open a browser tab with the address bar still visible.

Does the PWA work on Windows or macOS laptops?
Yes. Chrome, Edge, and other Chromium-based browsers support PWA install on Windows, macOS, and ChromeOS. The app opens in its own window with no browser chrome.
Will I get push notifications?
Not currently. ScanSheet does not send push notifications. The app uses in-tab toasts and updates instead.
How do I uninstall the PWA?
On iPhone, long-press the icon and tap Remove App. On Android, long-press and tap Uninstall. On a laptop, open the installed app and click the three-dot menu → Uninstall.
